me too, although i tend to shy away from things made before the '60s so maybe that doesn't count as "older"? barry lyndon, 2001, picnic at hanging rock, and carnival of souls really set off my interest for this sorta thing. and i really love a lot of these new folk horrors coming out for that reason, the cinematography is expansive and moving. wait, maybe i'm just a sucker for landscape shots lol. what are some of your fave older movies or any suggestions?
My top shows are 80's-90's but I also watch a lot of early Westerns. Vincent Price fan, The Pit and the Pendulum, House on Haunted hill. Any western Ennio Morricone provided the soundtrack for, the Good the Bad and the Ugly. Harry Tracy, starring Bruce Dern, 2 song soundtrack with 1 by Gordon Lightfoot who also starred in the film. As far as 80-90's go I like animated films from Don Bluth; The Land before time, An American tale, Titan A.E. Starship Troopers probably my favorite movie and I've had a big crush on Dina Meyer as Diz. Hackers another top 5 starring another longtime crush Angelina Jolie, Tomb Raider, The Bone Collector. Early Jackie Chan movies, Drunken Master, Rumble in the Bronx, Police Story, Mr. Nice Guy. I could go on for pages I love movies.

the first movie directed by a dog, i can't wait 🤩 but really tho? what part of it are you interested in? cinematography or prop design would be what i'd begin exploring.

You're spot on, cinematography probably. I watch a lot of older films and feel that a lot of the art has been lost.
