1 year of construction for 1 race, the absurdity of Vegas F1 event

So they fucked up the roads for a year and it's going to take another 6 months to take down the track they built for F1. How the fuck did they even make money? Let me guess Nevada taxpayer funded subsidies; 'Hey we're going to fuck up your commute for a year for a 0.2% increase in tourism during one weekend' Sounds good. How many politicians did they have to grease to approve this?

I assumed this was an annual event, why else would they completely fuck the city up for one weekend. What was the carbon footprint for this one race? Where is Greta to protest this? We supposedly have to shut down all fossil fuels but spending a year constructing a lego track for some Eurotrash sport is just fine. Just another day in late stage capitalism shithole waiting for the NPCs programming to be updated to the next agenda.
