When you cause 3 hours of gridlock doing shit like this. Most people in their cars moving no where hopes that person at least died. The ones that sit on a ledge for four hours and don't jump, the first car blocked from moving past the police, should have the right to poke that person with a stick to make things interesting. Because if you are the very first car, you are having a very unlucky day. You were probably less than a minute away from passing. It's only fair if you ask me. A lot less attention whores would try this if they knew some pissed off commuter is trying to push them off and go home.
