Its more to relay shit during certain times to aevan or help with keeping an eye out for dox posts etc, i have a "undo all mod actions" button and can easily just remove and revert it if he does something stupid. I get people dont like jannies but for abit here im going to be completely out of town and would be nice to have a trio of people that are on at different times, ive been thinking a lot about this and its why i settled on dogs he seems very unbiased and chill. But i made the poll because i understand some people wouldnt want any jannies let alone another one.
actually i messaged him about this 3 days ago and he only recently responded, i had stopped considering him at this point but right now, i figured i would give it a go. Thats what polls are for, you guys make your decision. Not trying to force jannies on you.
Also as a note, there are levels of jannies 1,2,3 etc. He wouldnt be able to do much or fuck everyone over, definitely wouldnt be able to give awards etc. It would literally be for removing dox and keeping an eye on bugs and sending it to aevan/me/other mods to relay it to aevan, so that we dont have the whole site die and everyone get pissed.
You should make another poll asking everyone how many jannies we need in that case, since you’re encouraging the community to make decisions based on easily manipulated polls, so we can decide if we need 20 or are better off with 30 people to jannie this community of ~40 sporadically active members
