Ground wagyu where I live is dogshit, it’s wagyu by loose affiliation but not proper pretty much anywhere you go. Overpriced by association, like buying a $10 pair of shoes with a $100 logo on the side.
We’re moving out into a very, very rural area in the next year so she’ll have to get used to it, because I’m not buying big city cuts the moment I don’t have to.

Dunno The Problem Has Alway Been Getting Actual Waygu As The Japanese Would Not Allow Export Of The Herds. Apprantly Some Lawyers Got Together And Used The US Trade Agreeement With Japan To Leverage Them Into Allowing The Export Of A Small Herd 8 Cows 2 Bulls. Now There Are 2 Legit Herds Here In Texas. Some Other People Smuggled Out Embroyos In The 80's and 90's An Used Black Angus Bulls. So Alot Of The "Waygu" Was Never Really Waygu 50% At Best Just As Close As You Could Get Without Shipping The Meat Directly From Japan
