It really depends on how lazy i am, ill just open a premade gif in photoshop and edit it frame by frame, or you can make one from scratch from the same process. Im sure things like gimp have the same functionality i just wouldnt know how to on there. You can also use "screen to gif" a desktop program that can record what youre seeing on screen in a selected size window and auto convert to gif for you. Use that for stuff sometimes. You can always just hoist the black flag and download photoshop like a man ayooo
