yeah, pretty much. i just saw the deepak update, apparently it's 1 day in jail and a $2k fine for each of them. that ain't shit compared to what he scammed... he's kinda getting off lucky. this is obviously a case of obnoxious americans with money giving the thai authorities an excuse to take a cut. the 1 day in jail is just symbolic to give it the smell of legitimacy
